Long Exposure Pictures At Night

Here’s a selection of pictures I have taken on my Fujifilm FinePix s6500fd. I used the manual mode with an ISO of 100 and a shutter speed ranging between 15 and 30 seconds. Thanks go to my brother, Sam Newton for actually showing me how to do this and also some camera operation when I was standing out in the cold! Please note that these pictures were taken at 7:40pm and it was pitch black outdoors.

Vistaprint free T-Shirt offer, quick review.

From the same site that I ordered my free 250 business cards from I found that you can order free T-Shirts too, so of course I put in an order. Again I had to pay about £2 for shipping but its worth it if you want something to walk around wearing to say promote your business or just for a bit of fun. Also, again you have to pick from a set of templates of which you can change the text but It’s not so bad considering the price. There are much more options if you actually buy premium t-shirts from the site but well, I’m not made of money.
Also since ordering my free t-shirt the site has been updated and gone through a little re-design it looks better now and they seem to have added more options to the free t-shirt offer including the ability to upload your own pictures! Get your free t-shirt here.
The quality of the t-shirts isn’t too bad. They are quite thin and light and the printing is by no means the best I’ve seen but as I like to emphasise, they are free so there’s nothing really to complain about here.

Tour of Britain Bike Race, Chester

I was at the Tour of Britain bike race in Chester last night. Took lots of pictures and it was a really good event, a lot more going on there that I had anticipated. A circuit was cordoned off through the center of the city starting at the town hall and including some tight corners and cobbled section which was not the best surface to be riding on after the torrential rain that poured down literally as the race started. Free Business Cards

Now I know the title to this post sounds like some sort of advert or scam but it isn’t. I recently ordered 250 free business cards from VistaPrint and I received them today and was to say the least very pleased with the service.
Now first off there are a few drawbacks you should be aware of, but after all they are free. You have to pick from a pre-designed template to add your text for your cards, there are quite a few to choose from and I picked the design which I thought was by far the best, it was a simple design and with my text added it looks professional. The other draw back is that you have to pay for postage which is understandable as when i received mine they came very neatly packed into a box and had come all the way from The Netherlands. Despite choosing the slow delivery option (costs around £2) I still received my cards within two weeks.
I was very pleased with the overall quality of the cards, I mean it is a simple finish due to the free promotion but they are study and the colours are nice. And 250 is certainly a good amount to have for free!

Macro pictures of plants and flowers

Today I went to this national trust park place called Tatton Park and took the opportunity to test the SonyEricsson C902’s Cyber Shot camera, in particular the macro function. I basically took lots of close up shots of plants and flowers, some were better than others but overall they are pretty good.

Dell S2409W Monitor

I very recently purchased myself a new monitor, the 24” full HD, Dell S2409W. I couldn’t be more pleased with it, the picture quality is amazing and the aesthetics are stunning, simple yet elegant.
However when I was researching this particular product I couldn’t really find many pictures apart from the manufacturers ones on the internet. So I have taken a few pictures myself to hopefully help people researching the monitor themselves to get an even better idea about this great product.
Feel free to ask any questions about the monitor and/or request more pictures. And also note my camera accented quite a bit of dust on some of the pictures, don’t let this put you off, it’s just my dusty room and lack of duster!
